I have a little cross () beside my user-name after logging in. What does this mean?
That one of our moderators was so annoyed by you that he muted you.
Being muted means that you can't rate materials and can't write comments to them.

You can wait one or two weeks until the mod has calmed down and ask him to unmute you.
Stop being childish and he will grant you your rights back.
Continue acting childish and you will be banned. Forever.

What do the little icons nearby the materials-names mean?
They indicate some special settings of the materials:
Material uses Raytracing
Material uses Image Textures
Material uses Subsurface Scattering (included in v 2.45+)
Material uses Nodes (included in v 2.44+)
Material uses Volumetric Shaders (included in v 2.47+)
GLSL Shaded Game Material (included in v 2.48+)

How does the suggestion system work?
If there is a material that you need and that's missing in our database, you can add it to our suggestion list.
If the material you are searching for is already in the list, you can add your vote to it and push it to the top of the list.

If you have one of the materials from the list, you can click on the name and upload it. When our moderators activate your
material, you will gain "happy tickets" (as much as people voted for the mat).
When someone click on your Nick, a message will be displayed: "This person made X people happy" ^^
If you collect enough happy tickets, you will get some cool little award-icons next to your nickname everywhere on the page ;)
Your suggestions and votes will be absolutely anonymous!

This awards are available:
You made 25+ User happy.
You made 50+ User happy.
You made 100+ User happy.
You made 200+ User happy.

How can I upload a material?
If you have no account, click on "Register Account" and create one.
Than you can log in with your Nickname/Password.
If you do so, a button "Add material" will appear and when you follow the instructions there,
you can add a material to our database :)

Do I have to pay or watching for the licenses of the materials?
No, you have not. All materials are completely free and the creators agree to set them unter
public domain, if they upload them.

I have uploaded a material, but it's not there!
If you had a green colored message after sending your material it IS here.
It just will take a moment for our moderators to check and activate it, so be patient ;)

How do I use this materials in blender?
There are two ways.
• The old way (this works every time):
Download the Blendfile of the Material that you desire. Open your Blender-Project where you want to use the new material in.
Click on File-->"Append or Link" or just hit SHIFT+F1 to open the Append-Dialoge.
Then click on your downloaded Blendfile, click on Materials and then click on the material you want to append in Blender. Then click on "Load Library" and thats it.
The material is now in your Materials-List of your Project.

• The new way:
Get the Blender-Script from our site. Run it - choose your mat, click on download.
The material is now in your Materials-List of your Project ;)

Your moderators haven't activated my material after days!
Something with your material was wrong and we had to delete it.
Login here and check if you got a message from a moderator.

I can't rate my material :(
Yes, of course. Selfrating stinks ;)

I'd like to upload a material-library!
Hmmm... if your library contains nearly the same materials (just different colors or dirts, for example), then you can.
If your library stores different ones then you have to upload them seperately, that our users can use the search.
